TURKEY CITIZENSHIP BY PROPERTY PURCHASE :

M.I.S - Legal has partnered with various Turkish Law firms to bring comprehensive services of Turkish Citizenship by Real Estate Purchase. Our expert advisers and Turkish Lawyers offer a complete service of legal advice and assistance with this Program from knowing and viewing properties to acquiring them and further from compilation of documents for citizenship application to actually getting citizenship. Being an immigration law firm, our objective is not to sell a property to a client rather to assist the client in all legal step of the process and securing their interest.

Turkish Citizenship Law :

By law, foreigners are required to acquire Real Estate Asset(s) of $400,000/- or more to qualify for citizenship. This investment is mandatory to be kept for at least 3 years after which the citizenship holder has the liberty to sell the property. The citizenship (through this investment) is allowed to the property owner, his dependent spouse and dependent children (under 18) with limited conditions of staying in Turkey. Such property owner may choose to live work and settle in Turkey OR not stay in Turkey permanently but still keep the citizenship. This means that you get the same rights and obligations as native Turkish people after obtaining citizenship through this investment.

Property Purchase Process

We have set up the complete program for our clients for property purchase in Turkey. We arrange for property viewing and analysing and verifying property documentation. Funds transfer to Turkey is also an important subject in this process and we advise on all legal ways of money transfer to Turkey which are recognised by both the home country of the applicant as well as Turkey. Opening of bank account in Turkey and obtaining Turkish Tax Number are also the part of our services. The property purchase occurs with the transfer of Title Deed (Tapu) from the developer to the buyer and we responsibly take care of this main step of the process. This is because Title Deed is the foremost and mandatory requirement of Turkish Citizenship process therefore we ensure complete accuracy in this step of the process.  After acquiring the Title Deed (of minimum $400,000) the applicant is eligible for Citizenship.

Turkey Citizenship Application Process

The Citizenship Application is filed with one of the offices of the Immigration Department and happens by appointment. There are usually no waiting times for citizenship appointments but there are some preliminary steps to complete before actually applying for citizenship and we assist the applicants with them completely. These may include attestation and/or translation of applicants' documents and preparation of Power of Attorney. The main applicant must present in person to submit the citizenship application while his/her dependent family applicants may be represented by him/her through a Power of Attorney from the family to him/her. The citizenship application usually takes upto 3 months in process to be approved, provided that there are no verification or natural cases delays.
